Countdown to Christmas Part 2

Last month`s newsletter included tips for party planners eager to score a holiday hit and avoid the bah-humbug reviews. This month, Kathy Lott - Director of Catering at the Parkway Plaza, has some additional pointers to guide people through the process:

* Ensure Quality Food and Beverage: "Stick with reputable venues that have a history of providing good food and excellent service. General Manager, Pat Sweeney and his team are known for devoting the same attention to detail for small groups as they do for large gala affairs."

* Join a multi-group party: "What`s a party without lots of people? Many small groups have realized the value of joining in with others to boost the festive spirit. This year, the Parkway Plaza offers Midweek Holiday Mixers to bring together smaller groups for a big evening of casual dining and mingling."

* Provide clear information on Invitations and Reminders: "Plan a series of messages leading up to the event that clearly indicate where to be, and when, along with the suggested dress for the party."

He helps with everything from cleaning rooms to laundry and isn`t afraid to jump in wherever he is needed. In his spare time, Chris likes to work on model semis and really enjoys listening to music.

If you see Chris in the hallways in between his many tasks, make sure to stop and congratulate him on a job well done.
