Memorial Day 2005

Memorial Day has become a three-day weekend with the obligatory trips to the beach or the mountains. Truth be told, given our particular interest in tourism, we say that this is not necessarily a bad thing, spending time with friends and family doing fun activities. In fact, if you`re in the Casper area this coming Memorial Day Weekend, we encourage you to check out "Cruizin` with the Oldies" at the Parkway Plaza and Ft. Caspar. This has developed into an absolutely fabulous event for classic car enthusiasts. Or, you could just head out to Gray Reef and try your hand at some of the region`s best fly fishing...the possibilities are endless.

But we at the Parkway Plaza would also like to recall the origins of this holiday and take a moment to remember our fallen heroes, like Max Miltnovich from Rock Springs, who will forever be nineteen, and whose name appears on Panel 02W Line 025 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in the photo above.

We`d also like to honor and say "Thanks" to our veterans who served the country so well and to those who continue to serve the cause of freedom, especially those serving in harm`s way.

Parkway Getaway Winners

Speaking of Veterans, the Parkway is proud to announce that the winners of the First Quarter 2005 Weekend Getaway are Eric and Kimberly Blooding of Cheyenne. Eric recently returned from Iraq with his unit from the Wyoming National Guard. Eric and Kimberly enjoyed a couple of restful days in our most deluxe suite.

Kimberly says; "It has been a long stressful year and we are so happy to have him home safe, especially our grandson who was only three months old when Eric left for Iraq. I would like to thank everyone for their support and their hospitality during this time in our life."

When Eric is home, he works full time as an automotive technician at the OMS 4 shop of the Army National Guard. Eric has 23 years service with the Army National Guard and plans on doing at least another 15 before retiring. Welcome home, Eric and thanks for your service to our country.

You don`t have to be a veteran to win a free Weekend Getaway at the Parkway (although we`re biased). Sign Up Now!

Best of Broadway Presents "Grease"

One of Broadway`s longest running musicals, GREASE continues to be one of America `s favorite shows as it continues an all-new version of this teen-dream extravaganza.

The fifth-longest running musical in Broadway history, GREASE takes a peek at Rydell High where the king of the Burger Palace Boys, Danny Zuko, almost loses his cool and his summer love, Sandy Dumbrowski, forever. It takes a dab of Brylcreem, drive-in movies, pajama parties, cool cars, some tough-talking Pink Ladies, and their very own Teen Angel to keep these lovebirds on course.

Tuesday, May 3 at the Casper Events Center. Tickets available Here.

Special Room Discounts available at the Parkway Plaza. Book Now!
