College National Finals Rodeo One of the greatest of all Rodeos, the College National Finals Rodeo is held each year in June in Casper, Wyoming. College cowboys and cowgirls from eleven different regions in the United States and four Canadian Provinces enter the CNFR arena in an effort to win national titles in saddle bronc, bareback, bull riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, team roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping, and goat tying. This year marks the fifty-seventh year for the event. The first was held in 1949 in San Francisco, California, at the famed Cow Palace. Student athletes will again be competing at the Casper Events Center for over $200,000 in scholarships from the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Co. Scholarship Awards Program. The Rodeo begins Monday, June 13, and all performances begin at 7:00 p.m., including the Saturday Championship Round.

Casper Rockies Begin Play in June The Casper Rockies Professional open the 2005 home season June 21st at Mike Lansing Field as the Idaho Falls Chukars come to Casper to open a four-game series. Casper Rockies game times Monday through Saturday are set for 7:05 with the gates opening at 6:30. However, the Monday, September 5 game is set for a special Labor Day game time of 4:05.
